Without wisdom, there is no value of knowledge, rather knowledge is a burden we are carrying with us if not applied in our life. It is like we’re in a dark room with a high wattage bulb installed but we never turned it on. We all have knowledge of what’s right and what’s wrong, but in real life we generally don’t apply it. For example, everybody know that smoking is injurious to health, even then majority of educated people smoke. This is called mere waste of knowledge i.e. no wisdom.
Since childhood we have been trained to acquire knowledge through more and more education but wisdom used to be absent from our curriculum. Parents put all their efforts physically, emotionally and financially to make it convenient for the child to get best of education and highest possible degrees so that he/she becomes capable of earning to make their life comfortable and secured. But almost in 99% cases there is zero emphasis on application of acquired knowledge in their lives, neither by the parents nor by the education system and institutions. As a result they are not able to face the challenges in their lives successfully which results in more hardships on every front.
Actually, on the face, it seems to be difficult to attain wisdom as it demands sacrifice of negative aspects of knowledge, which are more fascinating and full of entertainment in the short run. But without wisdom, a human life is like an animal, who does not need any knowledge to acquire and thus, no wisdom is required.
How to attain Wisdom?
It is very easy to attain wisdom, by inculcating the integrity in ourself. Integrity is a state of being whole and undivided. In simple words, we should fulfil the words given to ourself or to the others, whether small or big. For example, I decided to wake up in the morning at 6 am for a walk then I must have to fulfil the words given to me and wake up by 6 and go for a walk. Similarly, if I have to meet someone at 11 am, I must have to reach before 11 and not even a second after the appointed time. An obvious question arises that what will happen by fulfilling such simple commitments? The reply is, it has far-reaching effects, which initiate us to get from small successes to the ultimate aim of human being to attain salvation. With this, our’s as well as others confidence in us will grow eventually. Our connection with inner-self establishes which helps in exploring the vast strength within us.
Just practice integrity for 21 days honestly and feel the magic within you.
So, wake up and start the journey towards becoming the GURU of yourself.
